CCP - Payment Specialist

 

What We're Looking For:

We are seeking a Payment Specialist under the direction of the Partnership Service Coordinator, who will be responsible for reviewing, processing and printing provider payments, and resolving any concerns related to payments. The Payment Specialist will have the following responsibilities:

  1. Oversee processing and printing of provider payments exported from the EHS CCP databases.
  2. Assist with issuing provider payment using the EHS CCP payment system
  3. Meet goals and performance standards as assigned.
  4. Handle all communications from providers regarding payment questions and problems. Complete research necessary to define and resolve problems; coordinate resolution with Child Development Specialists; provide all necessary follow-up and response; update the EHS CCP Payments database as needed
  5. Enter data into the EHS CCP Payments database.
  6. Analyze and solve problems with provider records.
  7. Process payment adjustments.
  8. Maintain a database of communications received, nature of problem, and resolution.
  9. Analyze and process provider reimbursements related to their agreements to assure provider payments are paid accurately and timely in accordance with MOU agreements, regulations and agency policies and procedures.
  10. Contact specialist or providers to reconcile and obtain information for incomplete timesheets and/or invoices and obtain other information required for payment processing.
  11. Assist in maintaining check register and/or direct deposit reports and other reports generated.
  12. Assist with training as needed.
  13. Assist with quality control procedures.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

  • High School graduate or equivalent G.E.D. is required; some college preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years experience required. Some accounting background in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger; experience in a government funded non-profit environment a plus.
  • Should have strong knowledge of financial accounting and banking principles; knowledge in preparing financial statements and various statistical reports
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in computerized accounting system and Excel reports required; non-profit accounting experience a plus.
  • Requires considerable accuracy and attention to details; strong multi-tasking and organization skills; must be analytical and have the ability to identify variances; able to prepare a variety of analytical reports; able to meet tight deadlines and juggle priorities.

 

Special Requirements

  • Must meet State health requirements to include passing a physical examination as condition of employment, Live Scan, and immunizations clearance.
