Under supervision, the incumbent will plan and coordinate disability, special needs and behavioral and mental health services in accordance with the policies, procedures and philosophy of MAAC’s Child Development Program and in compliance with the Head Start/Early Head Start Performance Standards and State regulations. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that disabilities program services are provided to families with children with emotional and developmental needs. This includes the supervision of assigned developmental support services staff. The incumbent will also ensure compliance with all MAAC policies, procedures and governing regulations (i.e. Head Start Performance Standards, California Community Care Licensing Division mandates etc). 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATION

• Baccalaureate degree in Child Development, Special Education, Mental Health Services or a related field
• At least 3 years of classroom experience with children 0-5 years old; experience working with State and Federal regulated Child Development Programs is highly desirable
• Endorsement or Certification as an Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant/Practitioner is highly desirable
• Behavior Management and work with children with Exceptional Needs is highly desirable
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and databases such as ChildPlus
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) speaking, reading, and writing is highly
