Maintenance Associate
Salary: $20.56 per hour

Orange County Head Start, Inc. (OCHS) is currently offering a $1,000 New Hire stipend to all new full-time hires; with some exceptions. The stipend will be paid in two parts; the first half ($500) will be made available after the successful completion of the 90-day introductory period and the second half ($500) after the employee’s one-year work anniversary. In addition, OCHS offers up to $1,000 in tuition reimbursement for classwork that supports career growth within OCHS. All stipends are effective through June 30, 2024, and are subject to change based on funding.

Under the direction of the Facilities Manager, the successful candidate for this position will be responsible for completing daily work orders that include but are not limited to: the upkeep of multiple agency facilities and environments, including buildings, grounds, and equipment in accordance with federal, state and local regulations and OCHS policies and procedures with a consistent emphasis on child and staff safety.
Requirements:
- A minimum of one year of experience in one or more of the skilled trades, or any equivalent combination of education and experience in facilities maintenance and/or related field in a multi-site environment.
- Must be able to pass Department of Justice, Criminal Record and Child Abuse Clearance checks.
- Must have a good driving record and must provide a current driver record printout from the DMV.
