Required Education and Experience:
Level I:
Must possess a Medical Assistant (MA) certificate, Certified Nurse’s Assistant certificate (CNA) or onsite training. 6 months of front or back-office experience in a medical practice desired. Must have a High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and be at least 18 years of age.
Level II:
One year of related experience, plus a minimum of one year as a Patient Services Assistant I for The Center for Health and Prevention, and proficient in all level I front or back-office duties.
OR
Three years of experience in a medical environment plus a minimum of six months as a Patient Services Assistant I at The Center for Health & Prevention and proficient in all level I front or back-office duties.
Level III:
Two years of related medical experience plus a minimum of two years as a Patient Services Assistant or an equivalent combination of both. Must be proficient in all Level I and II responsibilities.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Level I:
6 months of front or back-office experience in a medical practice desired.
- Performs all Level I and II Essential Functions and Responsibilities and Duties, AND a minimum of THREE of the following:
- Updates training manuals.
- Reviews and edits handouts in conjunction with the Clinic Coordinator/Director.
- Under the direction of the clinician, assists with management of the dispensary.
- Monitors expired meds at both clinic sites.
